Dorothy Jane Cowley 94, passed away September 30, 2018 at Sharon Lane Health Services.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 11 at Porter Funeral Home 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Central Church of the Nazarene or American Cancer Society.

Dorothy was born February 9, 1924 in Akron, Ohio the daughter of A.W. and Ida (Kessler) Hall.  She was a graduate of Wyandotte High School, Kansas City, Kansas.  Dorothy served as Business and Professional Women’s Kansas State President in 1980.  She was corporate secretary at Carswell Manufacturing until her retirement. She married Richard Hewitt in 1942 and had two children Victoria and Don.  In 1993 Dorothy married Robert Cowley.  Dorothy was an active member of Central Church of the Nazarene.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard E. Hewitt, 1978 and Robert C. Cowley, 2000.Dorothy is survived by her children Victoria J. (David) Abercrombie, Donald A. Hewitt (Teddea), grandchildren Jennifer (Jim) Allen, Scott (Chellie) Bryson, Jason (Kaya) Hewitt, Brad (Lori) Hewitt, Megan (Tony) Reischman, and 14 great grandchildren.
