George W.  Vogel,Sr.

     George W.  Vogel, Sr. 90, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018.  Visitation will be Friday, September 28th from 10-11:00 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 8311 West 93rd Street, Overland Park, KS with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 AM. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Asana Hospice, 9001 State Line Road, Suite 120, Kansas City, MO 64114.  

George was born November 12, 1927 in Kansas City, KS.  He was an Offset Pressman for the Local Union #16.  George was a past member of  Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a current member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.  He was member of the Knights of Columbus, Lafayette Council #826 and a past Grand Knight and District Deputy. He loved his vegetable garden and his wife won many awards in the Sun Newspaper, Overland Park, KS.  He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel in 2014 and 10 siblings.  George is survived by 5 children: George W. (Sue) Vogel, Jr, Karen A. Head, Michael E. (Judy) Vogel, Edward L. (Tena) Vogel, Vicky R. Kyle, 24 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren.
