Sheryl J. Joski, 64, of Lenexa passed away September 20, 2018. A memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 28 at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia Street, Lenexa, KS. Sheryl was born November 10, 1953, the daughter of Ervin C. and Margaret Ann (Doffing) Mies, in Wichita, KS. After a couple moves around the country, she made Kansas City home in 1978. She loved to travel, was a fantastic cook, enjoyed time on the golf course and relaxing by the pool. But most of all, she loved spending time with friends and family, notably, her 6 grandchildren.
She spent the last 26 years alongside her loving husband and biggest supporter, Gary Joski. She had a vast group of friends who were more like family. Always welcoming and endlessly generous, Sheryl will be missed by all those who knew her.
Sheryl is survived by her son, Greg Alford and wife Gwen; daughter, Dee Moss and husband Bryson; step-daughter, Melissa Schierding; grandchildren, Grace Alford, Carter Moss, Avery Moss, Graham Moss, Logan Barnhart, and Hailey Mitchell.
