Wilma Jean Cicero, 91, Kansas City, KS, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at the Shawnee Post Acute Rehabilitation Center. Visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, September 20, at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave. Kansas City, KS. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: VFW Post 11499 or to White Church Christian Church.
Wilma was born January 12, 1927, in Opolis, KS, the daughter of Mearl and Opal (Bateman) Clawson. She worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Dee Roy retiring in 1991. Wilma was a member of the VFW Post 5851 Aux, Eagles Aux., A.A.R.P., Chippers Club, W.I.B.C. Bowling, former member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and current member at White Church Christian Church.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, David in 1995. She is survived by her son, Larry (Norma) Cicero, daughter, Joy Cicero, granddaughters, Gina (Brian) Hershberger and Angela (Taylor) Baer and 2 great-grandchildren, Aidan and Aubrey Hershberger.
