Joe was one of a kind. God threw away the template after he made Joe. He had such a gift of making us all laugh. We were never around him but what he was joking and entertaining us. We will all miss him.

Joe had 32,633 days on earth and I bet he made more friends than that! He inspired more people than he could possibly know. Marlene and kids, we hope you can be comforted by that thought. We truly love him!

Uncle Joe was all about others. He would go out of his way to make you feel like you were part of his family. One of my best memories as a child was our 4th of July visit to their home in Ankeny, Iowa. Uncle Joe & family gave us the best time, a parade, little Joe's baseball game in the rain, fun in their basement and even a tornado! Uncle Joe was awesome! He is golfing with the best of them now.
