Robert (Bob) Warren Hanke passed away peacefully on September 6, 2018 at the Olathe Medical Center’s Hospice House. Bob was born December 2, 1929 in Dixon, Illinois to the late Oscar A. and Gertrude L. (Menz) Hanke. He earned a BA in Business from Univ. of Wisconsin. After graduation, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Okinawa and Minnesota from 1951 thru 1955. Bob then earned a BA in Hotel Management from Michigan State Univ. Bob married Joan O. Mahan on August 27, 1956 and they had three sons: Roger, Douglas, and Craig. Bob was a huge sports and football fan, originally both for the Badgers and Giants. After moving to Kansas City area he also became a fan of the Chiefs and Royals. Bob is survived by his loving friend Elaine Lorenzen, Craig, Roger and wife Marcia and their daughters Kayla and Kerra, and by Doug and wife Debra and their children Derrick and Deandra.
