Sara Marie Humphreys, 27, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Sara was born February 10, 1991, in La Mesa, California.  Sara was a paraprofessional educator in Blue Valley School District and worked for Price Chopper during the summer prior to her diagnosis. Sara loved animals of all kinds but she especially loved her cats.  She was preceded in death by her father Randy Humphreys, paternal grandparents Rodney and Maurine Humphreys, maternal grandfather Wallace Morrison.  Sara is survived by her mother Barbara Humphreys, brothers Brent (Jessica) Humphreys, Cody Humphreys, nieces Scarlett and Vanessa, nephew James, maternal grandmother LaVonne Morrison, aunts and uncles: Alice (Lloyd) Amundson, Mary (Danny) Roy, Wayne (Cathy) Morrison, Judy (John) Sharwarko, Rebecca (Marty) Himmelberg, and many cousins.    

Visitation and and a funeral service will be on Saturday, September 8th at 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM, respectively, at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, Kansas. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Overland Park, Kansas.
