Carle was born September 4, 1948 in Hutchinson, KS to Martha Grace Chadwick and Carle Baker, Sr. and grew up in a loving home, along with his two younger brothers and two younger sisters. When Carle was twelve years old, his father took a new job in Amarillo, TX. and he finished his high school education at Price College and Amarillo High, graduating in 1967. He went on to Amarillo College and

West Texas State, earning a B.S. degree in Business. After serving in the United States Army for two years, he finished his studies with a Master's Degree in Finance and Marketing from Webster University in Kansas City.  Carle's career in railcars began after college. He held a variety of positions and was transferred to many cities, coming to Kansas City in 1974, where he met his future wife, Marie-Therese Caldwell. They were married in 1975. In 1982, Carle started the first of three companies in the railcar leasing business. Because he was so successful in his business, he was able to be very generous with his daughter and grandsons, as well as his parents and siblings.  Carle was a member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church - WEA. He was a founding member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Overland Park, KS and a member of their finance committee. Being an avid golfer, Carle was a former member of Milburn Country Club and Loch Lloyd Country Club, as well as Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, CA. Carle enjoyed traveling around the country with his wife, oftentimes piloting his own small plane. He loved yardwork, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Candice, and his three grandsons. He was quite the jokester with his friends.

In 2008, Carle was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and in 2013 he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Dementia.  Carle was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Damon Scott Baker. He is survived by his wife, Marie-Therese Baker of the home, his daughter, Candice Sanchez of Ft. Worth, TX and his three grandsons, Brother Titus Mary, O.P. (Adam Sanchez), Alex Sanchez and Nolan Sanchez of Ft. Worth, TX, his brother, Linus L. Baker of Stilwell, KS, his sister, Shannon Cavner of Gardner, KS, sister Tye Baker of Gardner, KS and many nieces and nephews.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Parkinson's Foundation.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Rajeesh Pahwa and Dr. Kelly Lyon for all the care and support they gave during the ten years of suffering with Parkinson's Disease and Dementia. They also wish to thank Beverly Henry, Mary Lou Estes and the Senior Helpers Care Group for the wonderful care they provided.
